Formed in the early 2000s by four Starbucks employees in Mesquite, Texas, the Afters initially known as Blisse, released an EP and an album titled “When the World Is Wonderful” in 2001 before changing their name due to another band with the same name. They gained traction in the Dallas music scene before signing with Epic Records and releasing their major-label debut “I Wish We All Could Win” in 2005, which reached the Top 25 on Christian charts. Their subsequent albums, “Never Going Back to OK” (2008), “Light Up the Sky” (2010), “Life Is Beautiful” (2013), and “Live on Forever” (2016), all achieved success on Christian charts, with “Live on Forever” being their first release under Sony’s Fair Trade Records. They also released a greatest hits collection titled “The Beginning & Everything After” in 2019.
